xeus leaves FUT after 2-year stint as team exits Monsters Reloaded

FUT Esports confirmed today that Duelist Doğan “xeus” Gözgen will depart the organization as his deal runs out on Nov. 2, ending a two‑year partnership that began ahead of the 2025 season. The timing lines up with the team’s shock elimination at Monsters Reloaded, where FUT was knocked out in the first playoff match, a 1‑2 loss to Fire Flux Esports on Oct. 24.

The rise and fall of a double‑duelist

xeus arrived in Istanbul to replace cNed, shouldering lofty expectations. His rookie campaign wavered, but his sophomore year turned heads. Paired with s0pp, the pair formed one of EMEA’s most feared double‑duelist duos, propelling FUT to a third‑place finish in Stage 1 and a coveted spot at Masters London. In the Swiss stage they posted a 2‑1 record and ultimately landed a respectable 5th‑6th place, beating heavyweights NRG (Brock “brawk” Somerhalder, Adam “mada” Pampuch, Logan “skuba” Jenkins, Ethan “Ethan” Arnold) and G2 Esports (Alexander “jawgemo” Mor, Andrej “BABYBAY” Francisty, Trent “Cairns” Cairns, Nathan “leaf” Orf).

The momentum carried into Stage 2, where FUT slipped to third in the group stage but breezed through the Play‑Ins 2‑0 and secured third in the playoffs, earning the EMEA third seed for Champions Shanghai. Yet another tech‑marred run in Shanghai’s “Group of Death” saw FUT finish third in Group A, missing the knockout stage and ending a promising run on a sour note.

Monsters Reloaded exit seals the split

The latest setback arrived at Monsters Reloaded 2026, a Tier C LAN event with a $36,500 prize pool and only four teams in the playoffs. FUT entered the bracket with its current lineup—sociablEE, yetujey, KROSTALY, xeus, and s0pp—but fell 1‑2 to Fire Flux Esports in the opening playoff round, ending their campaign after a single match.

FUT’s new look and what lies ahead

With xeus gone, FUT’s roster now reads: Volkan “sociablEE” Yonal, Efe “s0pp” Tur, Eray “yetujey” Budak, Okan “KROSTALY” Alaçam, manager Berkalp “Mighty” Kaan Yılmazoğlu, and assistant coach Tyler “Bambino” Jay. The squad will have to re‑configure its duel‑centric strategy as the season progresses, while xeus enters free agency after stints at Eternal Fire, HOWL Esports, New Boss Esports, and Weda Esports.
